* June 15th the German Blue Rose label released a CD+DVD package of a recorded show at the Buergerhaus in Heilbronn,
Germany in December 2004, titled CONTACT.
Iain was accompanied there by Richard Kennedy on guitar and Mike Roelofs on keyboards-tapes were rolling in
four video camcorders.
The Blue Rose Christmas Party in December 2006 has also been recorded -
artists included Iain Matthews, Elliott Murphy, Julian Dawson, Hank Shizzoe, Ad Vanderveen and The Brandos,

* Every IM follower with a Man United heart will know Iain's song "Busby's Babes" from the Pure and Crooked album. Iain now reports
that the lyrics will be permanently installed in the "Munich Air Disaster" section of the
Manchester United museum and that the museum's curator will try to include the song in the club's
50th anniversary (of the disaster that is) commemorations next year.

* In August 2006 German Blue Rose Records released a digipack CD collection of the original HI-FI line-up,
featuring Iain and David Surkamp.
The package includes THE HI-FI DEMONSTRATION RECORD/ MOODS FOR MALLARDS and both sides of the HI-FI Christmas single.
It comes with a DVD of a 30 minute PBS television special on the band, plus lots of photos and previously unseen printed material and
is available through Perfect Pitch as well.
* Eagerly waited for : at the end of September 2006 the Beat Goes On released the 2 CBS albums Iain
recorded in the 70s (Go For Broke and Hit And Run) on one CD (BGOCD 727)!
Just out is a re-issue of Journeys From Gospel Oak, augmented with 7 bonus tracks,including
Devil In Disguise (finally on the right album) and the single version of Met Her On A Plane (with strings).
The rest are 5 acoustic versions of some of the original album's tracks featuring Iain on guitar and BJ Baartmans
on slide and mandolin. This CD is now available through Perfect Pitch.
* Also just out: Dutch label Inbetweens released a DVD of a concert Iain played solo in Carbondale,Colorado
back in 1993, titled OSOLOMEO.
As a bonus this comes with a CD of the set Iain and Andy Roberts did at the BROSELLA Folk & Jazz Festival

The free bonus CD contains Iain Matthews’ classic If You Saw Thro’ My Eyes in a fantastic sounding never before released
live version, recorded at the Cambrinus Café in Horst, the Netherlands in 2003.
The band (featuring Matthews’ long time friend Ad Vanderveen on electric guitar) played the entire album in its original running order.
The music comes with an amazing fold out 6 page digipak plus a 12 page booklet with all the lyrics and liner notes by Iain Matthews.
